Tackle it Tuesday: Health and Weight Loss Check In

Today is Tackle it Tuesday and if you read last week’s post, you know that I’ve chosen to take this opportunity to tackle my weight and health issues. After getting off track with Weight Watchers at the end of the summer, last week I decided it was time to get back on track. So here’s how it went:
I started out great tracking my points, water and so on. Then I got off track with it again. My excuse is I get so busy working I forget to track. Well that’s a dumb excuse because I work online, which is one of the reasons I chose to do Weight Watchers online program; it’s right at my fingertips. Ugh! 
The good thing I did do this week was I really watched my portions. My hubby made hamburger stroganoff and I made sure I only ate 1 cup of it. And I was full from that. Another night I made a chicken, rice and beans concoction and I made sure I only ate 1 cup of it as well. The night we had my famous tacos I only had one. My Cheerios in the morning, I make sure I only eat 1 cup of it too. I do notice I get full from that small amount of food, but I’m also hungry again much sooner. Which is good! That means my metabolism is working.
Speaking of metabolism, I got all my natural herbs and have been taking them per doctor’s orders. I take 3 Hawthorne flowers, berries and leaves twice a day for my blood pressure, 4 Fiber Plus pills for my, you know, bowel issues, 1 Thyroitain for my thyroid, and 2 Niacin for my cholesterol. I take a handful of pills every morning and every night, but they are all natural herbs, not medicine. I get my blood checked again in 3 months. The thyroid herbs are supposed to heal my thyroid, which I’m so excited for! I hate taking meds, and normal thyroid medicine just regulates the thyroid and doesn’t actually heal it. These herbs actually heal it.
So, the bottom line is: I didn’t gain any weight, but I didn’t lose any either. I’m not entirely disappointed though because I know I must track and I know my thyroid makes losing weight hard. So, I already entered my food this morning and my weight in my tracker. I WILL continue to track!!!! I WILL!!!
Oh, and I must get to exercising!!! I really want to join the Fat Loss Quickie program, but I don’t have the extra $20 it costs right now. As soon as I do though, I’m going to get it!
