Tackle it Tuesday: Diet and Exercise

Tackle It Tuesday Meme Today is Tackle it Tuesday and I’m starting it off with a bang! Yesterday I had the awesome pleasure of going to the doctor for my yearly check up (ya’ll know what that means for a woman) and she said, “It’s time. It’s time to start taking care of yourself and it’s time to start eating healthy and exercising.” (You can read the exciting details here.)

So, today, being Tackle it Tuesday, I decided it’s time to get back on track with Weight Watchers. I was doing really well with WW back in the Spring and Summer and lost 15 lbs., but late in the Summer we had family and friends come to visit and somewhere along the way, I got off track. I’ve been wanting to get back on track again, but just haven’t. Well, that is over now! I’m determined to take off this weight and get into shape! And Tackle it Tuesday is the perfect day for it. You see, back in the Spring when I first started WW, I began on a Tuesday and on the same day every week you’re supposed to weigh yourself and mark it in the Weight Tracker. Obviously I haven’t been doing that over the last few weeks, but now I am…and did! Ugh! I wasn’t happy with the results, though I knew what they were because they weighed me at the doctor’s office. (I like what the doctor’s scale said much better than what mine says…mine shows a 2 lb. difference…2 lbs. more!) I don’t think I gained 2 lbs. overnight really, I think it’s because I didn’t eat much before I went to the doctor and this morning I had a high protein breakfast, which my doctor recommends for me.

As far as exercise goes…there’s this program I really want to join…and just haven’t yet, but I am going to sign up! It’s called Fat Loss Quickie and it’s perfect for WAHM’s and WAHD’s because it teaches you how to get a great workout every day in just 10 minutes! I can do that!!! Especially with these cold Winter months coming up, I do not want to get out there and walk in the snow…I just don’t want to, so I know I won’t do it. But this I can do right in my living room and when I need a break from writing or working, I can upload this and be on my way! I do need to the the exercise ball and weights…I used to have both…I wonder where they are??? Hmmmmm???

Anyway, Tackle it Tuesday from now on will be about Tackling my weight and getting on the road to a thinner, healthier me!
